I have an X5 6" Delta jointer. I need to adjust the knives. Using the tools supplied with the jointer I don't seem to have the right size wrench. The set screws that hold the knives tight are supposed to be 8mm. I base that on the fact that I don't have a 9mm wrench. But the 8mm is to small.

Anyone with this type of jointer what size wrench do you use to loosen the knives for adjustment?

Jim, don't know if it will help with your jointer but I have a DJ-20 and the wrench I use is 10mm. I had to grind it to make it thinner as it would not reach down between the holding-plate and the meaty part of the cutterhead. It did not come with the jointer, it is just a regular wrench.

Hope it helps.
