I have a DEWALT DW744X 10-Inch Jobsite Table Saw and like it but I took the guard off it is just not pratical and a pain to get on and off. Is there any way to add a riviting knife to this saw to make it safer?

If I remember correctly from the DW744 that I used to have, the stock blade guard raises and lowers with the blade, so you're already almost there. It should be pretty straightforward to make a riving (not "riviting") knife that replaces the guard.

The European version of this saw (http://www.mtmc.co.uk/prodtype.asp?cookiecheck=yes&PT_ID=12705660) has a riving knife with removable guard, so you could also try to get those parts from the UK.
