Has anyone tried the Hager's turning system. See at http://www.woodturnertools.com/ Just curious, because they are in Lexington, KY a short 12 miles from my home. This is the only place I have seen them.

Bob;
I got a couple of pcs of 1/2" dia. a2 hs steel about 12" long for free and will make at least two different tools from them. A friend said he would heat treat them for me. So we will see how that works.

Diamond tipped tools for woodworking? I would think the diamond surface would get plugged up so quickly when turning wet wood that the diamonds would be worthless.
