I do engaving of laminated plastics.
I recently purchased an old engraver and with it a Gast 0523 vacuum pump which was used to provide a vacuum for the engraving table.
I would like to convert it to use as a chip collector and need a receptacle with a filter. I'm willing to make it myself as new ones are in the $400 range but I'm looking for ideas as to how and what to use.
I would like a capacity of 2 to 4 quarts. It will be connected to the engraver with a 1/4" plastic tube.
