I bought a Jet "shopline" drill press 5 or 6 years ago at Costco. The chuck had a pretty bad runout problem--I would drill into a workpiece and the entire workpiece would oscilate visibly unless it was firmly clamped to the table. I should have taken it right back, but I got lazy and hey, it drilled holes. As my skills have improved, I have become less tolerant of sloppy machines. I finally called Jet the other day. They diagnosed an out-of-true quill and sent me a replacement quill and chuck assembly, no questions asked, for free. It fixed the problem.
This machine had been out of warranty for years. Needless to say, I'm impressed.
