During the process of making display units for the store my wife and I have opened, I found the need to finally use the keyhole bits I bought about 10 years ago for a number of hanging pieces and needed a jig for consistency. What I came up with may be a bit of overkill but instead of wood I used 1 1/2"x1 1/2" angle steel for the rails and 1"x 1/8 flat steel for the stops at each end sized to fit a PC 690 plunge base. The jig is mig welded together and drilled to mount as an add-on to a bench hook type biscuit joiner jig I made earlier.

The end result gives uniform keyholes 5/8" long spaced any way you like along a board. So far it works great (no jabs about the sloppy welding, ok?)for me.

Lol... overkill, but functional :)

someone famous once said, you can't argue with success.

This is one of those situations, good work!

Definitely overkill :) Looks good but I'm curious why you didn't use the Incra jig I see in the background of your picture?
