Im planning on running a 60A sub panel to my shop and want to know what the best conductor package is to run from the main panel to the sub panel. the length is not long, but has lots of turns in it.

Thanks for your help. Maybe we should start a separate electrical issues section

Oh, BTW, I can remain in-wall from the main to the sub so I dont have to worry about conduit or burrial issues. :D

I ended up with 6ga stranded for my 50a panel. The specs called for 8ga solid (50a) or 6ga strand (55a). The strand was easier to bend (and available). You would have to adjust the gauge for your 60a requirement.

If fishing and pulling is indicated, I'd definitely go with stranded wire of whatever gauge is appropriate for the distance, amperage, and environmental conditions.
