All,

I have upgraded the chat client software to include a more robust, more
featured client, in order to reduce the problems with connections being
terminated automatically.

The Chat button above has been edited to link to the new client.

Of course, there are tradeoffs-- the new client takes a little longer to
download. In addition, you must click Yes when prompted (the java applet
signed with permissions). Fortunately, you will only have to do this once,
as the applet will stay in your browser's cache.

The new client will automatically join the appropriate channel, just wait a
minute or two, and begin talking!

It was great having everyone in chat the other night!! From now on, you
will be able to _stay_ in chat when the window fills up!

For those that would like to to use the old client:

Cheers!

After it finally loads, it disrupts my screen settings. Then it tells me my user name is already in use. It won't let me in. Have not found a yes or no to click on either. ? Steve

Make sure you don't inadvertently have more than one window open to the chat page.

Also, you'll need to type /join #SawmillCreek in the box (right above public/private) when the page loads. Apparently, it's not doing it automatically like it should.
