Here is a pine candle stand that I turned this weekend. It is 28 3/8" tall the base is 10 3/4" diameter, center turn is 2 1/2" dia and top is 5 1/2"dia. The wood is clear. Finish is the recipie from the latest FWW.

That's very pretty! A set of 4 or 5 of those in graduated lengths would really look good.

That is a beauty. I agree with Curt about the graduated size. That would really look nice.

Jim,

I had a piece of 8/4 14" wide so the bottom is one piece the center is a glue up and the top is one piece. I rough turned all three marked centers then doweled and glued them together. Remounted on the lathe and turned to final. All pieces were dressed flat so that the glue lines don't show and the grain flows nicely from end to long grain.

Nice work Adam. The base looks good and heavy to keep the stand steady too. Good job.

Looks really good Adam! Nice proportions, height and finish! Agree with the others in that a set with varied height would look great!
