Insulation question

Im thinking about how to best insulate my shop (garage) and was looking for some advice on what to do in the ceiling. The drywall is already up, but no insulation or vapor barrier. What you would suggest as the best course of action. I live in central wisconsin so it needs to be about R-38 or so. I'm going to try R15 in th e 2x4 walls.

R-15 in the wall is the way to go. If the ceiling is up and you have access, call an insulation company in to blow in fiberglass to R-38...they will probably be able to do it for the same or lower cost than you putting in batts plus a cross blanket manually...and with a lot less work on your part.

I had never thought about that. I'll get the electrical up there and then call then for an estimate.
