That's a very good price on a very good miter gauge.

Is there a big difference between the Incra 3000 and the Jessem Mite-R-Excel? Unfortunately, there are no woodworking retail stores in my area that I could touch and taste 'em first.

Jeffery,
Woodworker's Journal has a miter gauge review in the latest issue. The author rates these two as best. I haven't used anything but the typical OEM supplied miter gauge and I thought the article did a good job of describing how the different gauges work (they have a lot more to them than what I'm used to) and why these two are the stand out miter gauges.

I own the Incra and it is the best money I have ever spent on tools.
