A few recent turnings. The makore platter is 1 1/2 x 14 1/2, the apple hf is 3 3/4 x 5 3/4, the apple vase is 4 1/2 x 3 3/4 (it appears squat in the photo, not so in actuallity). cherry hf is 2 1/2 x 4 3/4, mimosa hf is 2 1/2 x 4 3/4.

Comments, critiques welcomed.

Nice stuff Steve, I think I like the band on the vase, but it's kind of hard to see in the pic. Is it a raised area that's been chatter tooled?

Also, I've always wondered what mimosa would look like, thanks for posting it. Is this a typicaly piece?

I really like them all Steve!

What did you use to make the marks in the platter?

Thanks Guys,

The band on the apple vase is raised, textured and colored with acrylics.
The decorative bands on the makore platter were done with a sorby texturing tool. I have done two pieces of mimosa and they both had this appearance.

Beautiful work on everything Steve!

Have to agree with Bob in that if you would post only one item at a time it would greatly simplify things for us and hopefully give you a little more feedback at the same time.

Nice work! Really like the shape on the mimosa HF!
