Intro and a couple of pic of latest project

Hi guys,
I have been a member for a while, but have only been looking around. I am not an expert with wood working, have only been playing around for the past couple of years. These are a couple of pictures of a dinning room table that I am working on, excuse the backgound mess, remodling my house along the way. I actually found this forum while searching for information on a butterfly leaf table. That is what this table will be as soon as I install the leaf, this weekend. The table is made of Jatoba wood and is counter hight. Great to meet you all and look forward to learning from you.

Glad you jumped in the Creek Gerald, I see you've been looking around enough to know that WE LIKE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!! Nice looking table, looks plenty sturdy. You said that you made it counter height, would that be about 36"?

It is 39" tall. I made my own cabinets as my first attempt at wood working and due to me being 6'-5" everything is a bit taller than standard.
