This is from a piece where a limb joined the body of a burl I posted awhile ago. It had broken in two at a bark inclusion "fault line" but I was able to glue it back together and finish it. It's 15" diam. and finished with antique oil, no buffing. Thanks for looking.

Nice Save Ed!

It turned out great!

I have had two inclusions break and bonk me in the head. I am taking a break from them for a while.

Congratulations, you have saved a "Unique" piece. If it's for sale, don't sell it cheap.

Man, the extra effort was well worth it. That's very nice and has that "how'd he keep it together" look.

Very impressive platter Ed! Love the rustic/old look that it has! Have to agree with Bruce - if you are going to sell this one - don't let it go cheap! Very nice work!

Excellent recovery Ed! Those who don't turn will love it for being rustic....those who do turn will appreciate the effort to recover it from the scrap heap. Well done sir!

WOW....Hard to believe this beautiful piece came from that raw material.....a testament to the woodworker!!!....LOVE the character of the absence of material on the edges and the striations in the center.....Has a unique "old world" appearance....almost archaeological...LOVE IT !!!!!!!
