Rubber band Gun Plans

Does anyone know where I might find some plans for rubber band guns and any necessay parts. I see them at craft shows all the time. My 11 year is begging for one and I don't want to spend the $$$ if I can make one.

Ken,

There is no big trick to designing one of these. We made gobs of them when I was a kid. To put it simply, it is just a stick to stretch the rubber band on, we used slices of innertubes, and a release mechanism, we used clothespins. Figure out the length of the stick you need for the rubber band you are using and then make your stick in the shape of a gun, attach a clothespin and you are ready to go.
