This afternoon I was routing a 22 inch dia circle. All of a sudden the router #890 started sparking,and started a very small glowing sawdust fire:eek: . I checked on the PC web site and a recall for the 890 is in place I called the Ph# and all I got was voice mail I tried the PC Web site and tried to submit the info req. but kept getting a errior page when I hit enter. Does anyone know whats going on with PC? I guess I live in a cave as this is the first time I've heard of the recall,which dates back to 2006. Thanks Marty

I also found about the recall on my 890 only maybe 6 months ago. I tried to call the PC 800 # but got nowhere.

Instead I found out that there is a licensed PC repair shop in my town. I called them directly and they confirmed that my serial number was recalled.

All I had to do was drop in and exchange my motor for a rebuilt one with a new warranty.

The PC website should have a link to authorised repair places in your area.
