This piece received first place in advance fret at the Heart of Ohio Scroll Saw Picnic. It then went on to take best in show. Never had that happen before. Kinda excited about that. My own design too. :)

Walnut frame 14.5" wide/18.5' High... and the cutting is 1/4 inch Spanish Cedar.

Very nice Jon, Congradulations. Which scrollsaw do you have ? Got a good deal on a used Hawk G4. A couple of things I like about this saw is that it is a good top feeder. The other thing I like is the variable blade angle adjustment.

Still thinking about the Oliver I see. You better come get it before the snow starts flyin. I figured you had a pretty nice scrollsaw. I just have a Craftsman Contractors Variable speed Scrollsaw. It's been a pretty good saw for what little scroll work I have done, which is mostly stuff like corbels, shelves and some small signs. I've never tackled anything like what you have done, but it does look like fun and obviously rewarding.

Greg, I've was asked that many times now, and for the life of me I don't know. I'd work on it here, there, everywhere so I'm not too sure. If I were to guess, not including design time, I'd say 15-20 hours.

I like the pattern and it turned out well. I really like the wood choice with that pattern. Congratulations on your award.
