I am face gluing some cherry to make my blanks for table legs. Should I face glue the board, then rip to size; or rip to (approx) size, then glue? This is my first project of this kind so any advice would be helpful.

I always size the piece after gluing. That way you don't have to be a precise with the glue-up. In fact, when I glue-up leg blanks I joint one face of each side, glue it and then joint/rip/plane.
