Honing wheel made of MDF

I am making a honing wheel of 2 pieces of three-quarter thick MDF board. What is the best compound to use on it. I think Alan Lacer recommends the silver polish compound.Any suggestions?



The reason I am so sharp is because I live on the edge of town.

Some use the green compound found at the local BB stores. I use the black compound with very good success. It's also available at the BB stores.
