Hello,
I have to put in two 110 v outlets.
Someone mentioned here which leads go to which screws, but I can't seem to find the thread it was mentioned in.
Which color screw get's the hot, and which get's the neutral?

Off color or brownish colored screw gets the "hot", usually black wire. The silver colored screw gets the neutral.

Black wire to the brass colored screw or lug and white wire to the silver screw or lug. Ground wire goes to the green screw or lug.

Another way to look at it is that - on a polarized plug - the small slot is the hot and the wide slot is the neutral.

Rob,
For some reason I never seem to remember which slot is hot and have to look at a plug almost every time to check which is the hot slot.

I alays use Leviton receptacles....they have the color code in raised lettering on the back of the receptacle. Kind of hard to read, but it is there. Jim.
