If you happen to be in the SE Oklahoma area, it would be worthwhile to stop in Beavers Bend state park near Broken Bow and go to the Forest Heritage Center. They have a great display on logging history and, at the moment, there is a display of wood art (including many turnings) done by locals and nationally known artists. I saw a large segmented piece by Malcolm Tibbets there. It was a great place to check out even without the wood art. It showed logging practices from the late 1800s to the mid 1900s. Unfortunately I had no idea that we were going to a place like that so I didn't have a camera with me.
