I know there's a way to move the center of an object to change the axis on which it rotates, but is there a way to move it to alter the way it interacts with other objects.

I'm doing nametags with Edwardian Script ITC font and the serifs on the capital letters extend out way beyond normal making the name appear to be off center when they actually are. I have 88 of these to do and I really don't want to eyeball each one individually.

I'm not aware of that feature but there are many kerning and font manipulation options available. I doubt that you'll find any which will allow you to adjust them in a macro adjustment though.

If you have time you can try posting to a newsgroup.

In Corel X3, select an object and then click it again. A small circle with a dot in it will appear in the center, that's your center of rotation. Just drag it wherever you want it, it should snap to objects/guides if you have those options on.
