It's about 8 1/2" tall by 8" wide. about 3/16 thick but the bottom I left a little thinker for stability. Buffed anitque oil. I made the hole on top bigger than I would of normally but the LOML wanted it this way.

Beautiful wood, great form, nice continuous curve, and I'm like LOYL - I like the larger opening, too... the rounded rim makes it look thinner than 3/16". Well done.

That's a real beauty you have there!!! The only problem I see is that it's not in my collection of pieces from various woodturners. ;)

Very nice Bob. Not crazy about the hole size, but it your wife wants it that way what can you do. Remember the customer is always right.

Nice piece of wood as well.

I'll add one more Bob, it's a beauty! I actually do like the larger opening. I think turners end up doing a lot of things to impress each other (like tiny openings) that take away from the overall form. Well done!

I'm gonna start callin you "Nice job Bob" That's a real beauty. If you wanted you could turn a black ebony top for it and just set it on it. Tell the LOYL to take it for a test drive.:D Either way, you've done a fine job.

Beautiful Bob. I like the larger openings. Great job. Larry Hasiak who gives demo's said one time everyone should make a vase with a 1" or smaller hole and get it out of your system. Thens make your openings 2 to 4 inches depending on the size.
