Made from Hickory. Largest is about 8 by 3.5, the smallest is about 4 inches in diameter. They are "cheaters" ie: shaped, cut in half, hollowed, glued and finished. But they were fun and I think they look ok. I like them. One coat of danish oil, buffed and waxed.

very nice pieces. I like the thought of cheating on them. I think that might be the way I have to go, as it will be a while before I can get the tools I need to make the HF that I have visioned.

Nice looking forms! Nice wood, too! "However you got there" doesn't make the wood any difference. You got there. Well done.

Very well done, Tom. For vases, though, I'm not sure HF is the way to go anyway. A smaller hole helps to stabilize the flower's stem, so it doesn't flop over so readily. All depends on the proposed flower arrangement(s): single or multiple flowers.

Nice looking hollow forms Tom! Great looking forms, wood and finish! We each have our own way of doing things - yours looks like a winner!

Those are quite nice. And it's not cheating. It's just another technique...
