just for fun I glued up some scrap birch ply and turned a little vessel, painful to turn, dust everywhere, but still was a fund experience.
about 10 coats of laquer, so I didn't bother with avoiding reflections

LOL! Musta been that new clear plywood stuff...

(I saved a bunch of micro-lam from our addition for "interesting" turning projects in the future...)

Right click on the red x and choose properties, then copy the url... and paste into a new window..

File is too large to upload here and I don't have time to do it for him right now :)

Cheers, Don.

Anyway, back on topic.

Sascha, having made it would you do it again?

My experience with turning plywood is limited to making jigs, chucks, etc and it isn't the most "fun" wood to turn :)

I'm also wondering what your thoughts were on the opening?

Did you consider making it fair or defining the edge more ie. a definite ring around the opening?

Cheers, Don
