New line furniture pics.

Hi all,

It's been a while since i've posted but I recently finished a desk that is part of a new line of furniture I've been designing. Also here is a tall table that is part of the line too. Thanks for looking.

I like sharing and getting feedback, it's good for the creative process.

I've really liked using the cement and steel, it's like an extension of my painting.
The bamboo is new to me but I really like it. It's a little difficult because the stranded stuff is "splintery" and tears out when cross cutting.
The other bamboo ( on the bottom of this piece ) is much easier to work but has a more consistent grain so it's not as "fancy". Over all I'm going to keep using it because I like the contrast it provides to the solid wood areas. It is expensive though.

No, it's a 1/8 x 2" steel frame with poured concrete. I then grind and buff it to create the top. It's held to the top of the wood with 1/2" steel tubes so it floats on all 4 corners.

If someone had told me about the cement and steel table, I'd have been like, uh.. ok... whatever floats yer boat. But seeing it, I REALLY like that piece!
