I'm looking to get a set or 2 of spare blades for the Delta 5X DJ20 #37-365X 8" Jointer. Delta's replacements seem very $$$$ (+75) when I see others on the market for in the low $20's. I know Freud makes some blades, but they are close, not near exact. Amana makes them but not sized for this machine. Seems as popular as this machine is, there should be an abundant supply of quality after mark options to consider.

So what are you other owners using?

How do they stand up?
Can they be sharpened? You all know the drill....tell me whatever you can about them to help me in deciding. Also, if there is something that is more costly, that is ok if they are more durable...I'll take all the details and then I can make an smart/informed selection. AND if Delta is deemed the best, let me know.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Great timing Larry,

Look at the concurrently running thread "Spiral Cutterheads on Joiners"..

I think Brian McAnnally was offering some up, Maybe a PM will get them to you... I think I threw mine out... I will double check.

I bought a 2nd set of OEM blades for $69. It wasn't worth it for me to try the cheaper blades without knowing the quality of their steel.
