No - I didn't glue a parting tool to my forehead. Although that wouldn't surprise my wife. :p

Is Super Glue the same as the CA glue that Berea and others sell?

I want to try the CA finish but I don't have any thin CA. Can I just use the Super Glue that Wally World sells for a finish?

Thanks in advance.

Rick,
I don't know about the super glue but if you have a hobby shop around, most likely you can buy thin CA there. It's used a lot in model building.

Hi Rick,

Yes, Super Glue is CA glue. There are a number of different formulations of CA glue - thin, thick, gel, etc. The little tubes of Super Glue end up being quite expensive compared with buying 2oz bottles from a woodturning supply place (or Michaels). If you have any problems with that CA finish, let us know and we'll try to help you through it!

Scott.
