Here are some pics of a bookcase I (finally) got finished for my Grandbaby, Caroline.
It's not fine furniture but it's a mighty fine project for Grandpa!!

3/4" Birch Ply w/Poplar Faceframe.....Painted!

Maybe not fine furniture like you say but I really like the detail on the face frame and legs. Very nice. I'm getting ready to build something for my first grandchild. Probably going to be the Wood magazine 'Teddy Bear Rocker" they published several years ago. Only 3 months old so no hurry.

.....I had to hurry and get out of her room though, before I OD'd on PINK!!!

Mommy tries to keep her all girl but she's already a shop gal.....whenever her daddys out in his garage, she's right there helping him! :)

When she comes over to Grandpa's shop, she always runs and jumps on my lawn mower and says "Mow,Mow" :D

Nice work; however 'fine' it is or isn't, its an instant heirloom. I like the design and think it looks right at home. Strong work gramps! :D

Great job!!! You and her have something to be very proud of.

I just wish I could find a single 35-45 y/o woman that would pay me for my work the same way you were.....
