another sealing question

I found a nice log on the way to work today. there is a slight bit of checking on the ends. normally I would trim that off with my chainsaw and then anchorseal, however I don't think I will have time to trim it for about a week. I am planning on anchorsealing it when I get home but wondered if there would be any foreseeable problems in doing that? should i just wait to seal it after I cut it?

I would seal it as soon as possible. You can always reseal after you cut it.
