Steel Door Workbench Question

Hi Guys,

I am making a temporary work bench top out of a steel exterior door. I was going to cover the top with a 3/8 ply wood to make it flat. How should I attach the plywood to the door. Will contact cement work? or would I be better off just countersinking some screws?

I would use glue for this situation.

The steel doors I've seen are a sheetmetal skin over a wood and foam frame. There's not much for screws to grab, so I'd say glue too--I'd probably use construction adhesive like liquid nails. You might want to sand through the finish so the glue has something to stick to.
