Dewalt DW670 & Speed control

Hello,

Does anyone here have any experience using a router speed control with a Dewalt DW670 Laminate Trimmer? I want to use the tool as a trim router, but I need to reduce the RPM's.

Other than being potentially akward I see no problem using a router speed control with a laminate trimmer.

Interestingly, I've seen several messages about the Bosch Colt, very little concerning the Dewalt DW670 or other trimmers. I would appreciate any input about using the DW670 as a small router for rounding / chamfering edges.

As long as it doesn't have "soft start", it should work fine.
