This is a Maple burl bowl that I roughed out about a year and a half ago, I put on a shelf and forgot about it till a couple of days ago. Burl wood can be a real pain in the butt to finish, every one of the eyes had a tiny split that I had to fill with ca glue. It measures 14-3/8" by 4-7/8" with a wall thickness around a 1/4". I finished it with multiple coats of Tung oil and than buffed to a nice luster.
