I stumbled across this old scrap of Bradford Pear that was just the right length for an old handle-less gouge I had. I also wanted to make a beading tool and as I worked on the handle for it a small inclusion caused the front part of the new handle to break so I just cut it off and will use it without one for now. The Beading Tool is 15" full length and the Gouge is 15 1/2". The Pear has some nice figure and color and finished up very nice with just some tung oil and buff.:)
