Maple find

Stopped by the local lumber yard today and what do I see sitting alone in a corner but two ten foot sticks of maple crown molding. The most beautiful tiger maple, I assumed it was a special order.

NOPE, they were returned because it didn't match the other trim. :D

They are both in my shop now.

Good for you! I bought some two weeks ago - same deal! I got 3 sticks of tiger maple 3½" crown (24') and two sticks of tiger maple 4¼" crown (16' total). And, a couple days later, I snagged two pieces of CURLY MAHOGANY chair rail - about 10' each. This chair rail makes a nice counter edging - about 2½" tall. And, I got 2 sticks of tiger maple panel moulding, about 14' long each too. Now, I just gotta find a project to sell to use it!
