After seeing the many turned projects posted I thought I would try my hand. Bought a Jet Midi two months ago and am now hooked. I've been turning pens so far and finding a lot of satisfaction being able to start and finish a project without the time investment needed with most flat work. Attached is my favorite so far, a 10k Jr. Retro. The kit is from CSUSA with a curly maple blank in CA/BLO finish. This was engraved for my parents 50th anniversary. I'm looking forward to learning to turn bowls and other stuff. Thanks for looking.

The engraving was done by fellow Creeker Pete Thomas, I found his name on the engravers list. He did a nice job and it was interesting to see the process. I'm sure I'll be using his services more in the future. I've seen the lasers at the wood shows but had never seen one in action. It would be cool to have one but I can only handle one vortex at a time.
