Here are some pictures of the poor mans buffer I put together.

Steps
Turn a block of wood, drill and tap the center, mount a couple buffing wheels and you can buff most bowls.

It doesn't work perfectly, sometimes its possible to push so hard the wheels slide around the bolt and washer, but as we all know I shouldn't push so hard anyways right?

I do recommend turning your block round and making it smooth. One of the potential problems with this is that the rim of the bowl could come into contact with wood shaft the buff is on or with the bolt used to hold the wheels on. It might be best to use a faceplate, but I use a chuck to hold it.

Brodie,
Got and used one of those also, then got some spigot jaws on a Talon chuck. This lets me put the cloth buffing wheels directly on a 1/2" bolt, which I then grip with the spigot jaws.
Something simple that works good and is cheap.

Looks good Brodie. My granddad used to tell me whatever works. Simple is better.
