I finally found a use for some of those scraps that are always showing up. The lighter wood is locust. Got two teenage grandaughters who will love this by the time Christmas rolls around. Should have a bunch of different shapes and sizes. Followed the wife into the dollar store today - desk clocks for a dollar. Took a look they can be taken apart. Clock movements for a dollar. I can see a few clocks for some people in the future.
