Hi ya'll anyone out there (and I'm sure there is!) have any plans or info for a simple potato/onion bin?? I'm bachelorin it,don't get to the store too much and don't fix humongeous meals. Like I said it's just me.5# of taters and onions will do me a loooong time but they keep goin bad. I'd just buy 1 or 3 at a time but then I'd use em up real quick.
SO any plans out there?
Thanks John

I used to just throw them in my crawlspace (it had access right next to the kitchen door), and they kept well, but the wife didn't like that.

Anything dark and cool with decent airflow is what you want.

Try Meisel Hardware for simple plans. Just google it.

Don't store potatoes and onions in the same bin. Bad for the onions...worse for the spuds.

We keep potatoes and onions in the bottom drawer of the refrigerator. Both in the same drawer and they last for weeks. ;)
