Today's mail brought some wood from Texas! Chris Hartley sent me a pieces of sweet gum and live oak and a bunch of small pieces that just might motivate me to turn some pens. What a great surprize!

The bowl is from a piece of elm Chris dropped off on his drive-around this summer..

and the fly...When I was editing these pics I discovered a fly on the rim of the bowl... maybe he was attracted to that wonderfull elmmy smell :)
