I have a tough time getting perfectly round hinges and I was also wondering which wood makes the best hinges. Thanks in advance.:)

Hasn't anyone here ever used a hingecrafter? Wood hinges are very cool to do when you get them just right.:D

I've not had any problem getting a round knuckle but it does take a little messing around to set it up just right. the best wood I find is a tight close grained wood like maple or walnut. Oak is the pits. Dick B.

:) Thanks Dick. I too have had pretty good luck with the Maple and the walnut. I did some last night with Bloodwood and they came out very nice. Thanks again.:)Pics are right around the bend.
