Does anyone know where to buy a 45 Degree Lock Miter Bit for thin stock? I have one that is for 1/2 to 13/16 inch material (that I absolutely LOVE, incidentally) and I know that SOMEBODY makes one for thin (3/8 to 1/2 inch) stock. I have seen it in a catalog, or maybe on-line, but inspite of Herculean efforts I can't seem to find the source.

Thanks!!!

Hey thanks Mike- the CMT bit is the one I had seen before. Although it was really difficuult choosing between the $119 and the $78 options, I finally settled for the latter! :)

By the way, lock miter bits generally seem to have a less than stellar reputation because they are percieved to be so frustrating to set up, but once you become accustomed to the set-up process, they are TERRIFIC (in my humble opinon). I use my big one all the time for just about anything that resembeles a square box that can be seen from all four sides.

How about $29? I have the Woodline WL-1420-2, but the new WL-1420-3 seems even better. See www.woodline.com/c-55-45-degree-lock-mitre.aspx (http://www.woodline.com/c-55-45-degree-lock-mitre.aspx)
