View Full Version : Little wormy mesquite HF

This was a cutoff of a mesquite root ball. You can't really see the wood for the worm holes, but up close, it's loaded with figure. This stuff is the darkest mesquite I've seen and where the pith runs through it, it's almost black. It's 4 3/4 x 4 1/2... antique oil and buffed. Critiques welcome.

That is a beauty I love it.

I am not sure if you have it in Texas, but I know here in AZ we have a Chilean Mesquite that is much darker in color then the Honey Mesquites or Velvet mesquites.

I really like "compromised" wood turnings. I think they are beautiful, in general, kind of "rustic" or "ancient." Yours is pleasing, in every way!
