Mesquite Bowl

Well here is a mesquite bowl I turned. I was about half way thru hollowing the inside when wham, 2/3 of the bark flew off and hit me right in the middle of my Trend. So I burned the edge. Then as you can see it had a split from on high side to the other. I thought this one would go to the burn pile but CA came thru. Glad I had it on. Anyway it is 6" across at the widest and about 1 1/2" deep. Finished with wipe on poly.

Pete it is probably 1/8". After trying to get rid of some of the imperfections in the dang wood it came out pretty thin but again didn't turn out to bad.
