Well, they're round and they're linked. I had a problem with my homemade ring tool (tweaking has begun). Where the rings parted I had a ridge and the cross section wasn't very round to begin with. Trying to erase the ridge on the lathe left the inside kinda flat. But hey, it's a first.

Oh yeah, when I finished the rings I ended up with the goblet looking thing stuck through them. I hate it when that happens.

I think you did a great job on them :) I haven't gotten the nerve up to try yet. Though.... come to think it, all the links I've busted off I could have tried it

Congrats looks great.... I tried my first captive ring last nite, I now have two pieces of wood that could slightly resemble a ring with some glue and a lot of sanding:) Looking forward to seeing more good stuff!

Linked rings? How did you do that? I've done singles and doubles, but not linked.

Does anyone have a link to a tutorial regarding this type of turning? I have a brother-in-law getting married in a couple months and think that would be a great gift, provided I'm capable of doing one!;)
