old stanley plane

have old stanley plane with stanley rule and level company stamped on the blade along with pat. 1868. the plane is a transitional type with the sole being in two pieces . the top piece is attached to the metal frame and the bottom is convex attached to the upper part. the blade is also convex. is this a scrub plane or crown moulding plane or neither one? does anyone have any ideas:D
