platform bed - finally done!

Just delivered the platform bed I've been working on (some of you may remember me looking for a larger jointer because of this project)

It turned out great. Hard maple, with a cherry shelf and cherry inlay.

Looks great, I like the rolling contrast with the inlay piece. Your client obviously enjoys the platforms beds as well, simple and you don't need an extension ladder to hop in.

It is heavy duty - and heavy when put together. BUT - it breaks down into manageable pieces and assembles very easily with 6 hidden knock down bed bolts and 4 panel connectors. (all from lee valley)
