3520b gloat

Breaking in the new baby!!! :D

One question for the 3520b owners... I have the Baracuda 2 chuck and it does not fit on the lathe. Any adapters etc that i could use?

Jim, I would think you could get a 1 1/4 x 8 adapter for it so it would fit the spindle but i am not positive that the Barracuda will take it. If you try it please let me know as I wouldn't mind picking one up for myself. Also a 3520.

Jim try Packard Woodworks or Craft Supply USA. I think I got a 1 1/4 X 8 to 1 X 8 for my chuck and it works fine. I had to get one for the Nova.

I had the Barracuda 2 before upgrading to my 3520B. I went through the same thing you're going through and elected to shelve the Barracuda and pick up a pair of Supernova 2s. I still use the Barracuda on occasion on my Jet mini with the pin jaws for peppermills and such but everything on the 3520B is chucked with one of the Supernovas. One with standard jaws, the other with Powergrip jaws.
