So can the super jigs do anything that the D4R can't? I'm seriously considering getting me one of them. The D4R that is.

The Super Jigs do not do everything that the D4R does. The Super Jigs are a lower cost line from Leigh. I have the D4R. It is a great jig. I am just waiting on the VRS for it.

Thanks Chris, I really want one of those things.

So wait, one more question, I've seen some really awesome joint patterns that are made with the D4R, I'm pretty sure, can you do these with the standard set package or are there other add-ons required to achieve some of the cooler looking joints.

Sorry for derailing your thread, if you don't want to answer the question here, feel free to ignore it, you wont hurt my feelings.

Allen, are you thinking of the organically shaped Isoloc joints? They are additional templates, as shown on this page from Leigh: http://www.leighjigs.com/i1.php

From what I've read, the new jigs don't have adjustable width fingers like the D4R. They are like the fingers on the 16" jig. There are other differences but I think that was the major "joint cutting" difference.

I hope to own the D4R soon. It's on my short list.
