they are geneticly enhanced so they don't grow leaves, make it easier/cleaner to harvest ;)

Jim, that is sacrilage, and you shall be tortured by the turning gods for that. Your next piece will end up smaller than you originally planned due to some mishap!!! Or you will be unable to turn due to house construction!!!PAPER???? HUH!!!

Sean, the sawmill is in Troy, Tennessee, kinda off the beaten path. If you're traveling I-40, you would go north on US51 through Covington, Ripley, Dyersburg, and Troy is about 18 miles or so south of the Kentucky line. It is Hanafee Brothers Sawmill Co., and the owner is Donald Hanafee; it's at the intersection of US51 and TN21. If you call or go by, please tell him that we sent you. There is another sawmill in the same town - Storey - but we have found that Don has better wood!

Lumber prices are waaaaaaaaaay down right now - we got 4/4 FAS red oak, some boards nearly 12" wide, for $1.00 a bd/ft. We also got 4/4 FAS maple, again some nearly 12" wide, for $2.10 a bd/ft. He has lots of it, and he'll break pallets for a pick-up load.
